bk World and J.J. Darboven launch co-operation

A new coffee brand is now available in all bk World locations: the organic and Fairtrade-certified Café Intención from J.J. Darboven offers guests at the bk World lounges in Germany and France the perfect coffee treat for their break.

Coffee is one of the most popular products in the bk World lounges. Whether in the morning to wake you up, in the afternoon with something sweet or in the evening before a long journey – while the car is charging, guests recharge their batteries with a cup of coffee.

That’s why we are delighted to present our new coffee partner: Café Intención. The sustainable brand from J.J. Darboven not only stands for outstanding flavour, but also for a fair and ecologically sustainable product. As a Fairtrade pioneer, J.J. Darboven has been supporting coffee growers at the origin since 1993.

Sustainability and shade tree project

The beans for Café Intención are organically grown and Fairtrade-certified. J.J. Darboven favours a transparent origin and support for coffee growers. For example through the shade tree project.

For every pack of Café Intención Especial Bio Café Crème and Espresso Intensivo purchased in the catering trade and the country coffees in the food retail trade, a shade tree is planted between the coffee plants. They not only provide vital shade but, depending on the species, also have a positive effect on the microclimate, coffee plant and biodiversity.
