bk World, Europe’s leading operator of premium charging lounges at electric vehicle charging parks, is opening its new lounge on the N-156 in the CIM la Selva business park near Girona. It is bk World’s first location with IONITY in Spain and, at the same time, its second lounge in the country. Located directly next to Girona-Costa Brava Airport, the site is reached via Exit 8 of the AP-7, which connects the airport, the business park and the C-25 motorway.

With this opening, bk World brings its IONITY partnership to Spain for the first time — following the pairing’s launch in Portugal, Girona is the second site of this cooperation in Europe. The choice of location is no coincidence: CIM la Selva is one of the largest logistics and business areas in the Girona region, situated directly between Riudellots de la Selva and Vilobí d’Onyar and excellently connected to the wider road network.

The location makes the lounge relevant to an especially broad audience: travellers and airport staff on their way to or from Girona-Costa Brava, commuters using the AP-7 between Girona and Barcelona, and anyone heading toward the Costa Brava or continuing along the AP-7 into France. With six charging points delivering up to 350 kW and six more at up to 400 kW, the lounge covers both quick charging stops and longer breaks. Seating, a wheelchair-accessible restroom, fridges stocked with snacks and drinks, and a freezer for ice cream turn the charging time into a genuine break.
