Mer and bk World are now working together. bk World, Europe’s leading operator of premium charging lounges, has opened its first lounge with the European charging network operator at Mer’s charging hub on Carl-Benz-Straße 8 in Konstanz, Germany. Drivers charge at six charge points with a total of twelve CCS connectors and up to 600 kW. Guests spend their charging time in an air-conditioned lounge with coffee, snacks and freshly baked pizza from the 24/7 vending machine.

Mer is one of Europe’s major charging network operators. According to the company, it runs more than 36,200 charge points of its own. Its customers have access to over 780,000 charge points across Europe, more than 180,000 of them in Germany. Its services range from planning and hardware to installation and operation, for fleet operators and private customers alike. In Konstanz, Mer’s aim of making charging simple everywhere meets bk World’s commitment to making time at the charger as pleasant as possible.

The Konstanz lounge is the first bk World lounge in Mer’s design. Two refrigerators offer snacks and drinks, the freezer is stocked with ice cream, and a coffee machine serves delicious coffee specialities. Those with a bigger appetite can help themselves at the pizza vending machine next to the lounge. Seating, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and a wheelchair-accessible restroom make the lounge a place where even a short break is worth it.

This creates a dense network of bk World lounges around Lake Constance. At the eastern end of the lake, the company already operates a lounge with Tesla in Lindau, and on the Swiss side a lounge with Fastned in St. Margrethen. Konstanz now adds a site directly on the German-Swiss border, complemented by the lounge in Schaffhausen on the High Rhine. Holidaymakers, commuters and anyone travelling between Germany, Switzerland and Austria now find a bk World lounge on three different charging networks: Tesla, Fastned and now Mer.
